Olsen elected to become a free agent and is not expected to be back with the team after two disappointing seasons. In 2010, Olsen pitched in 17 games and went 4-8 with a 5.56 ERA.
By the second half of the season, Olsen was put in the bullpen as a long reliever and voiced his displeasure about the role. During the last three games of the regular season, Olsen was sent home early because of a shoulder injury.
Although English was outrighted to Triple-A Syracuse, he will become a Minor League free agent at 5 p.m. ET on Saturday.
English started the season on Washington's 25-man roster and pitched in the middle innings. He allowed three runs in seven innings before being sent down to Triple-A Syracuse in late April. However, his season came to an end in late July after bone ships were removed from his left elbow.
