Jaime off Nats' 40-man roster

WASHINGTON -- Nationals right-hander Juan Jaime was taken off the 40-man roster, according to a baseball source. He missed all of 2010 because of right elbow reconstruction. Jaime joined Washington's system in '06 and has yet to play a Major League game.

In four seasons in the organization, Jaime has pitched in 42 games, going 10-3 with a 2.42 ERA. He struck out 146 batters in 111 2/3 innings.

Before the injury, Jaime's fastball was clocked as high as 98 mph.
