The Nationals named their Minor League managers for the 2007 season on Tuesday afternoon.
John Stearns, who managed Double-A Harrisburg last season, will manage Triple-A Columbus, while Scott Little, Randy Knorr and Tommy Herr will manage Harrisburg, Class A Potomac and Class A Hagerstown, respectively. Darnell Coles will manage Class A Vermont, while Bobby Henley will manage the Gulf Coast Nationals.
In the Dominican Republic, Sergio Mendez will return for his fourth season managing the Rookie Level team, and Frank Liriano will make his debut in the Washington organization as skipper of the second Nationals team.
Tim Foli, who managed Triple-A New Orleans, will be the Minor League field coordinator. Also working for the Nationals is former Expos great Tim Raines, who spent the last two years as a coach with the White Sox. Raines, who managed Class A Brevard County to a 53-72 record when it was an Expos affiliate in 2004, will be a coach at Harrisburg.
