Detwiler pushed back to Monday
WASHINGTON -- Because the second game of a doubleheader against the Dodgers was rained out on Thursday, left-hander Ross Detwiler was pushed back in the Nationals' rotation, and will now pitch on Monday against the Mets at Citi Field in New York.

Manager Davey Johnson said he didn't want to push back any of his other starters -- such as Tom Milone and Stephen Strasburg, who were scheduled for Friday and Sunday outings, respectively.

In the meantime. Detwiler will work out of the bullpen for a short period, and pitch on eight days' rest against New York.
