Bush to throw first pitch to Lo Duca
LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. -- During his 10-year Major League career, catcher Paul Lo Duca has been involved in plenty of first-pitch ceremonies. He's caught famous boxers and great baseball players, but he's never caught a president.
Lo Duca will get his shot on Sunday night, when he catches President Bush's first pitch at the new Nationals Park.
"It's cool. I'm looking forward to it," Lo Duca said after the Nationals lost to the Braves, 10-2, on Wednesday. "I met [former President] Clinton when he came to New York. It's going to be very neat. President Bush is a true baseball fan. He was an owner at one time. I hope we play better than we did today."
