Nats get Spanish language broadcasts

WASHINGTON -- The Nationals announced they have partnered with the Spanish Beisbol Network to launch Spanish radio broadcasts of all their games.

The broadcast will debut on WZHF 1390 AM on Friday, when the Nationals face the Orioles at 7:35 p.m. ET. The announcement follows the launch of, the team's official Spanish language Web Site, on April 7.

"The Washington Nationals are excited to bring Spanish language broadcasts to our fan base," said team president Stan Kasten. "We continue to find ways to provide our Hispanic fans with complete, up-to-date coverage of their favorite team."

Led by broadcasters Angel Castillo, Carlos Guillen and Luciano Rodriguez, the games may be heard on WZHF, a Spanish format station reaching the District, Northern Virginia and parts of Montgomery County and MLB Radio.

Saturday games will also be broadcast on WMET 1160 AM, a multi-cultural format station covering Washington, Maryland and Northern Virginia. All broadcasts will begin on the hour prior to the game.

Spanish Beisbol Network also produces radio broadcasts for the Red Sox and Phillies.
