WASHINGTON -- The Nationals signed pitchers Ross Ohlendorf and Brandon Mann to Minor League contracts, MLB.com has confirmed.
A six-year veteran, Ohlendorf pitched for the Padres in 2012, going 4-4 with a 7.77 ERA in 13 games. He spent most of his big league career with the Pirates. Ohlendorf's best season in Pittsburgh was in 2009, when he won 11 games and had a 3.92 ERA.
As for Mann, he played the past two years in Japan, going 3-9 with a 4.27 ERA in 28 games for the Yokohama Bay Stars. The left-hander was drafted by the Rays in the 27th round of the 2002 First-Year Player Draft. Mann has never played in the Major Leauges.
