WASHINGTON -- Friday's game between the Nationals and Twins was postponed because of rain. It marked the second straight day a game involving the Nationals was rained out. Thursday's game between the Nationals and Mets was also postponed because of inclement weather.
The Twins and Nationals will play a split doubleheader on Sunday, with Friday's makeup game beginning at 7:05 p.m. ET. The two games against the Twins on Sunday will require separate admission.
The rainout means Washington's rotation will be pushed back another day. Left-hander Gio Gonzalez will pitch Saturday at 4:05 p.m., while right-handers Nathan Karns and Jordan Zimmermann will pitch the doubleheader.
Fans with tickets to Friday's game may use their original tickets for the 7:05 p.m. makeup game on Sunday. Those unable to attend the 7:05 p.m. game can exchange their tickets for any remaining regular or value home game during the 2013 regular season. Exchanged tickets will be issued from available inventory in the closest pricing category of equal or lesser value to the original seats.
Season plan holders whose plan includes seats for Friday's postponed game will have their card automatically activated for the Sunday contest at 7:05 p.m. Season plan holders who wish to transfer, forward or exchange seats for this makeup game should log in to nationals.com/access to view or exchange their seats. Season plan holders who cannot attend the 7:05 p.m. game on Sunday may exchange their tickets for any remaining regular or value home game during the 2013 regular season.
