Lett in talks to remain with Nationals in some capacity

WASHINGTON -- Although he is no longer the bullpen coach for the Nationals, Jim Lett could stay in the organization, MLB.com has learned. The two parties are in discussions about Lett remaining with the club in some capacity. There is a possibility that Lett could work in the Minor League system or be a special assistant for general manager Mike Rizzo.

Lett spent the previous four seasons with the Nats as bullpen coach. He was hired by then-manager Jim Riggleman. Lett served under Riggleman and Davey Johnson, who retired after the 2013 season.
