Nats trio expected to be ready for Spring Training

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. -- Stephen Strasburg, Adam LaRoche and Bryce Harper are expected to be 100 percent by Spring Training, according to manager Matt Williams.

Strasburg underwent successful arthroscopic surgery to remove bone chips from his right elbow, while LaRoche underwent successful surgery to remove loose bodies from his left elbow. Harper underwent successful surgery to repair the bursa in his left knee. Harper hurt the knee on May 13, when he slammed into the right-field wall at Dodger Stadium.

"Yeah, [Strasburg's] rehab is going phenomenal," Williams said. "Everything checks out from a medical standpoint. He is ready to go -- Day 1 in Spring Training -- full bore. Bryce will be the same. I talked with Adam before he left for the USO tour. He's been in the woods pulling back his bow, so his elbow is in good shape.

"Everybody will be good. The good thing about the offseason surgeries this year is they were cleanup surgeries, they weren't major surgeries. So it's stuff that is easily rehabbed, and they should be ready."
