Nationals re-sign Tatusko to Minor League deal

WASHINGTON -- The Nationals re-signed right-hander Ryan Tatusko to a Minor League deal on Monday. Tatusko played for Double-A Harrisburg and Triple-A Syracuse last season and went a combined 6-8 with a 4.09 ERA in 29 games.

Tatusko was a highly touted prospect when the Nationals acquired him and right-hander Tanner Roark from the Rangers for shortstop Cristian Guzman in July 2010, but he has struggled since then. His worst season was 2011, when he went a combined 5-8 with a 5.30 ERA for Harrisburg and Syracuse.

Tatusko, who can serve as a starter or a reliever, will likely start the 2013 season at Syracuse.
