After striking Blevins, the ball trickled into the outfield, and the left-hander ran to the third-base line with a noticeable limp while backing up the play.
Blevins remained in the game to face Ryan Doumit, who grounded out to the pitcher. Blevins was able to field, spin and throw to second for the forceout before right-hander Aaron Barrett replaced him on the mound to retire the final batter of the inning.
After the game, Blevins appeared in the clubhouse with a bandage on his knee. He said he applied ice to the injury as a precautionary measure, but made it clear it wasn't anything serious.
"He'll be a little bit sore tomorrow," manager Matt Williams said. "But he'll be fine."
