WASHINGTON -- Anthony Rendon's bid to be the National League 2014 All-Star Game MLB.com Final Vote Sponsored by Experian candidate is coming down to the final hours.

Rendon is fourth in the NL Final Vote standings, but fans can show their support via Twitter until 4 p.m. ET this afternoon. Washington fans can vote for Rendon by tweeting the hashtag #VoteRendon over the next few hours, giving the infielder some extra life.

Chicago first baseman Anthony Rizzo currently leads all NL candidates. Colorado first baseman Justin Morneau sits closely behind Rizzo in second, and Atlanta's Justin Upton remains in third. Miami's Casey McGehee is fifth in the NL Final Vote balloting.

Over the final six hours, tweets using the designated hashtag of any candidate will be counted as part of his Final Vote tally. With the race this close, fan support on Twitter during these final hours of online balloting could play a key role in determining which players take those final All-Star roster spots.

Rendon, who has split his time between third base and second base this season for Washington, is batting .284 with 13 home runs and 52 RBIs in his first 85 games this season.
